Location: East Side Union High School District, San Jose CA

Project Description: Part of an overall plan to modernize the campus and phase out older portable classrooms, this project will provide much needed new classroom spaces, a counseling center, and a new multipurpose building with attached kitchen area for on-site food service. The new complex responds to its site by using massing and materials to mediate between upper and lower levels of the campus, while simultaneously playing off of – and giving context to – the design of the existing adjacent theater building. Estimated construction cost for the project is $ 5.2 million. The project is under construction.
