Projects | Franklin Elementary School New Class Room Additions and Modernization

Location: Franklin-McKinley School District, San Jose, CA

Project Description: Finney Architects was proud to design the Franklin-McKinley School District’s newest school, replacing their oldest, historical school campus in the District. Meeting the challenges of the rising cost of construction, this state of the art school has met the District’s goals of housing students in permanent buildings, replacing several older portable classrooms. The classrooms were designed for flexibility and STEAM concepts. The entire 50 year old infrastructure was replaced. All remaining campus buildings were updated to meet current stringent energy efficiency requirements and structural upgrades. We are proud to have worked with this District with the focus on ensuring that all “8th graders graduate with the skills and knowledge to be ready for college”…
